Can you tell me which ones, and how many?

The answer to this question depends mostly on two things; your flower choices specifically, and how many items you will require for your special day. Other details you may select would also factor in. Meeting with you in consultation is the best way for me to learn about all your floral wishes & needs prior to providing an accurate quote. Appointment times are flexible, and I welcome the opportunity of getting together.

Consultations are in my home/studio where you can take as much time as you need to make your floral selections. Here you are in a calm, relaxed place because you are my guest. Due to our fairly central location, many clients throughout the Fraser Valley & Lower Mainland find us very accessible.

Actually all the wedding flowers I do are 'packages' that are designed with the bride in mind.The unlimited potential is yours with respect to color selections, unique embellishments or neat extras, and naturally the flowers themselves. Because every event is as different as each individual personality and budget, the custom design nature of my work enables you to fine tune your exact wishes and needs, while maintaining affordability.

Yes, because consults are conducted in my home/studio, they remain absolutely free. The rare exception would be if I travel to a client due to special circumstances, and a fee would then apply.

Yes, I am happy to offer deliveries to every wedding related client, and a single destination delivery is complimentary (with a minimum order amount) within a 3 mile radius of my studio. Very reasonable rates apply to areas further out, and for second destination requests. Our more personalized services also include the presentation of bouquets, pinning of corsages and boutonnieres, and simple placement of floral arrangements – all at no extra charge! The only exception would be if floral pieces need more extensive attachment or if arrangements must be assembled on-site. In these cases, a fee will apply according to the time I will spend on these tasks.

No, because this requires more time and resources than I'm able to commit to at this point. But we are happy to place any designated decorative arrangements at the venue(s) on the same day as your event. The only exceptions are noted above under delivery protocol.

It's never too soon to book your flowers! While the availability of the flowers is definitely important, the emphasis in this case is more on the availability of the florist you wish to book for your event. Once a deposit is received, your date is confirmed/reserved on my calendar. Even if a booking is made many months in advance, you always have the option of making changes with your flowers right up until they're ordered, which is a minimum of three weeks prior to your event.

While many florists or shops quite often book multiple events on a given day, I try to avoid this. First, because I don't like to over extend myself (stress is not a good thing). And second, I can remain more focused on each client. That's not to say there aren't exceptions, but I determine what I'm capable of in keeping with the work that's to be done. I generally agree to one event on back to back days throughout a weekend. Not a problem!

Yes, a minimum 25% deposit is due immediately following a booking request. This confirms and holds the date for you.

I do not require this, as the payed deposit also acts as an agreement between you and Blooms & Beyond that I have been retained to carry out the work as outlined on the invoicing sent to you. However, if you would feel more comfortable with a signed contract, I can certainly accommodate this.

Fortunately I have an excellent supplier who brings me whatever I need for all pre-orders right to my door. Although most of the flowers (both imports and locally grown) come through the main auction in Burnaby BC, local growers and wholesale distributors in my general area also make it possible for me to purchase directly. Otherwise, I will make the one hour drive to suppliers in the city on rare occasions. If you seek locally grown products, it will be my goal to achieve that. However if we're dealing with seasonal blooms or specialty flowers/foliage, sometimes imports are the only route I can take, and will communicate this to you, as well as offer alternatives. But regardless of the sources, providing the freshest of flowers and foliage is always my first priority!

No, this is definitely not recommended unless there is no produce in the fridge and it's clean. The reason is because the odorless/colorless ethylene gas emitted by aging fruits (especially apples) and vegetables is harmful to many flowers. The last thing you want is to open the fridge and discover that flowers in your arrangements are wilted. By that point it is too late and there is no remedy. We provide flower care instructions with any pick ups and deliveries when indicated.
